Today is the beginning of Unit 6. We will be learning about the geography of France and how it is divided up: into regions and then departments and finally into cities & villages known as Communes. Today we will begin learning about France's largest and most well known city: Paris
The goal:
We are working towards a research project where students will research a particular region in France & put together resources for a presentation.
Why:
We are focusing on France and it's geography this year partly as a way to begin planning for a potential Trip to France. Students want to travel next year and I think next May Term would be the perfect time to go! We have a very long way to go before this can happen with lots of pieces of the puzzle to get in place (board approval, funding, planning, etc... ) but hopefully this will bring us one step closer.
